This is the first set of clipless pedals I have owned. I purchased these for a 2010 Trek Marlin 29er mountain bike, and I have nothing bad to say about them! I am using the cleat in a pair of Pearl Izumi all terrain shoes and I do not have a problem getting in or out of the pedal. I find it harder to get into the pedal than it is to get out of, which is a good thing for a clumsy guy like me on the technical trails. I have nothing to compare these pedals to seeing as they are my first pair, but my friends that own SPD style say that they wish they had crankbrothers due to the ease of entry and exit. I have only owned them for a short time, but I am pleased with them so far. Keep up the great work, Crankbrothers!
